LeEco unwraps the New Year with the official launch of an old model with minor upgrade. Introduced A 3GB RAM + 64GB variant of Le 2 smartphone for online customers as well. This same hardware was till now available on offline stores but with the launch of another variant today, customers can now buy the device online exclusively via Snapdeal. Originally, the smartphone is priced at Rs 13,999, and is available to purchase in Rose Gold color.
Rest of the specs of the new refreshed smartphone remain the same, and the only makeover would be the storage upgrade. It’s worth pointing out that the official Le 2 has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory, which was made available online for Rs 11,999.
LeEco Le 2 Specifications
The smartphone features a 5.5-inch full HD display. On the software front, it runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0 wrapped under EUI 5.8 skin on top, is powered by a Snapdragon 652 Octa-Core processor. There’s no microSD card support found in the smartphone.
For photography, the smartphone adds a 16-meghapixel rear camera sensor and an 8-megapixel front-facing selfie camera. It supports dual-SIM card, offers 4G with Voice-over-LTE (VoLTE), Wi-Fi 802.11ac, GPS and Bluetooth 4.1 as connectivity options. The smartphone packs a 3000mAh battery.
Other best key features of the smartphone includes fingerprint scanner, which is located on the back, and comes with CDLA-based audio technology, which allows audio transfer via USB Type-C port. Unfortunately, this smartphone doesn’t have the 3.5mm headphone jack.
When compared its price and specifications on offer, the upgraded version of the LeEco Le 2 will compete against the Xiaomi Redmi note 3 and Lenovo Vibe K5 Note. Considering the budget, here is a quick lookout.
Priced at Rs 11,999 for the 32GB storage and 3GB RAM, the Redmi Note 3 comes with 5.5″ FHD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 Hexa-Core chipset (four Cortex-A53 cores and two Cortex-A72 cores). The same Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 also sports a 16MP rear and a 5MP front camera and the whole product is armed with a 4050mAh battery package.

The high-end Lenovo Vibe K5 Note is priced at Rs 13,499. Has a 5.5-inch fullHD display, is powered by MediaTek’s 64-bit Helio P10 Octa-Core processor clocked at 1.8GHz processor, coupled with 3GB of RAM and also available with 4GB of RAM and includes Mali-T860 GPU. With 32GB storage variant, a microSD card also supports for up to 128GB. The smartphone holds a 13MP rear camera with dual LED flash and a 5MP front-facing selfie sensor, which is power packed by a 3500mAh battery.
