Unfortunately, what we expected from LeEco gone wrong, which previously teased a new smartphone launch with Qualcomm Snapdragon 821/823 at an event today held in China wasn’t about it at all. Instead the LeTV brand company unveiled a new color option for its three current handset that it made official back in April.
The LeEco Le Max 2 is official now, also gets a new color of Force Gold, which was previously sold in Rose Gold, Silver and Grey. Not only Le Max 2, but the Force Gold color is also offered for the top-end smartphone Le 2 Pro as well.
Alternatively, or otherwise LeEco has outed a new top of the line version of Le Max 2. This comes with 6GB of RAM plus 128GB of storage in order to match some of its competitors specs-to-spec. Originally, the Le Max 2 had 6 gigs of memory and just 64GB of internal storage, apart the two changes nothing is redesigned.
For the pricing details, the Le Max 2 now starts at CNY 2,099 (US$ 316 /€284) with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal space. The 6GB RAM variant with 64GB of storage goes for CNY 2,499 ($376, €339). Finally, the Le Max 2 with 6GB RAM + 128GB storage will set you back at CNY 2,799 ($421, €379). Notably, all of these prices are valid for China only, and for Indian market it may vary.
