Meet $50 Android-Powered Intex Aqua Play With Lollipop OS On-Board

Intex Mobiles has had its place in the budget friendly Aqua series smartphone list and have already introduced India with a 4000mAh batter backed hardware in the past, and today launched a new low-cost phone, called Intex Aqua Play.

Priced at Rs 3,249. The Aqua Play runs on the latest version of Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box, which is equipped with a 4-inch WVGA IPS display with a resolution of 800×480 pixels TFT screen. Under the hood, the latest Intex phone carries a 1.2GHz dual-core MediaTek MT6572W processor, and only runs on 512MB of RAM, has included 8GB of internal storage but expandable up to 32GB via microSD card slot.

It has a Dual SIM support and offers 3G HSPA+,WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS which it packs a 1400mAh battery. What’s not covered is the photography department, which the Intex Aqua Play sports a 0.3MP VGA rear camera with LED flash and the same megapixel on its forward cam. Nevertheless, it comes pre-loaded with Clean Master, NewsHunt, Quikr, Opera Mini and more apps.


Available in Black, White and Blue colours, the Intex Aqua Play is one of the cheapest smartphones in the Indian market to buy right now.
