Apple’s 4-Inch iPhone SE Specs, Price, Release Date Goes Official

Finally after several months of constant speculations and conjucture today, Apple’s brand new 4-inch iPhone SE has been made official. Announced the 4-inch device essentially an iPhone 5s with 6s innards and that too in a new entry-level format. For many, that alone will be sufficient reason to be excited of, but the iPhone SE has signature that streches far beyond its modest dimensions. Nevertheless, this phone will undoubtedly lead Apple’s charge into the fastest-growing markets of Asia, realign the company’s strategy for how long it sells its flagship product, and also create a unique new proposition that Android has no direct answer to. However, Tim Cook and his band of executives have finally removed the coverings from the mysterious device, and in turn have introduced a 4-inch iPhone that some analysts believe could naturally psh sales of that inititaive form factor through the roof during 2016. Design of the iPhone SE falls completely in line with the previous 4-inch devices that’s what disturbing right now, of the iPhone 5/5s. Arcitecture used by Apple to unvil he 4-inch flagship this year doesn’t actually have iPhone 6s branding, but Apple is clearly known to position the new iPhone SE specs in the same category as those devices by appealing to individuals who not only loved the older aesthetic pf the 5s, but who actually want an extremely capable smartphone that falls into this particualr size range.

There were been a huge amount of discussion about what Apple’s internal plans to move future iPhone models across to OLED displays going forward, but that doesn’t apply in this case though. The iPhone SE features a 4-inch Retina display that offers a 1334 x 750 pixel resolution. Smartphone that doesn’t include a revamped display assembly with embedded 3D Touch pressure sensors, but that will definitely not take us away from the excellent visual experience that all Retina iPhone models provide.


About the iPhone SE’s processor, RAM and Always-on Hey Siri are all in one place, which it is packed with the latest internals from the current flagship iPhone 6S. That includes the excellent Apple-designed A9 processor with accompanying M9 motion coprocessor for activity tracking. That integration will not only provide the device with a massive amount of power, but it also paves the way for the fantastic always-on “Hey Siri” functionality. Yes! the 4-inch hardware also packs 2GB of RAM on-board.

Photography aspects: Like the internals of the device, the iPhone SE camera setup is also been inspired by Apple’s current 6s range. That includes a 12-megapixel rear shooter with 4K video recording, and Slo-Mo video caturing in 1080p resolution at 120fps, and in 720p resolution at 240fps. Like the iPhone 5s, the SE packs a two-tone flash as well. On its front-facing, the iPhone SE offers 5-megapixel cam for those selfie fans out there complete with Retina Flash, and as you might have expected. The iPhone SE also sports the ability to capture Live Photos and the camera teck packs the Focus Pixels technology, and of course the ability to capture panoramic shots up to 63MP.


Integrated with Touch ID v2, iPhone SE does bring biomateric authentication in the form of Apple’s proprietary fingerprint sensor. In fact, as you’d expect from a modern Apple device, this isn’t just any Touch ID offering, it’s Touch ID version 2′ the same experience that’s embedded in the latest iPhone 6s range and one that provides blistering fast fingerprint recognition with a lot of accuracy than the first iteration of the tech found in 5s and iPhone 6.


Apple Pay/NFC

It was hardly expected from Apple to make a song and dance about its Apple Pay without actually providing all of their new devices with the ability to consume it. The iPhone SE does really comes with inernal NFC capabilities purely for the purpose of allowing owners to setup and transact with Apple’s contactless Apple Pay platform, now.

Speaking about the fastest iPhone SE LTE supports. Faster enough, the Apple’s 4-inch device gets LTE speeds of upto 150Mbps, which makes it 50% faster than the iPhone 5s, making iPhone SE the best LTE monster. Battery it carries the same as the 5s (1560mAh), but Apple claims to have made vast improvements to the life of the iPhone SE battery.

Software-wise, the 4-inch iPhone SE comes running iOS 9.3 out-of-the-box. Colors, you could be honored for the device are no real surprise. Those interested in iPhone SE will only have the choice of purchasing the device in Space Gray, Silver, Gold, or Rose Gold, just like the iPhone 5s, and no Pink is made available.


The unlocked iPhone SE with 16GB internal storage will go at $399 globally. For 64GB iPhone SE, you will need to pay at around $499. Shipping of the 4-inch iPhone SE will begin from March 31st in the US. Pre-orders starts on March 24th. Release date is 31st!
