The Micromax Bolt S301 will be the latest budget 3G enabled smartphone in the company’s Bolt series and the successor to Bolt S300. With more affordable price tag, Micromax has launch Bolt S301 into the Indian market.
Available to buy in Black and White colors, the Micromax Bolt S301 is priced at Rs 2899. It features a normal 3.5-inch (854 x 480 pixels) display, powered by a 1GHz single-core processor paired with 512MB of RAM, but adds 4GB of internal storage with expandable microSD card support (up to 16GB).
The Bolt S301 runs on Android 4.4 KitKat, surprisingly it can upgraded to the latest Google’s mobile operating system with material Design (Android Lollipop) in the near future, if Micromax rolls out so quickly. It’s a Dual SIM smartphone comes with 3G HSPA+ support and offers usual WiFi, Bluetooth and aGPS connectivity options, and on its front it sports a 0.3MP VGA camera and on its back with a 1.3MP sensor. The phone is backed by a 1200mAh battery package and comes pre-loaded with Quikr, Snapdeal and Scandid apps.
Note: Micromax claims that they’re selling over 1.5 million 3G smartphones every month and has although has share of 25% in the 3G segment in India. Then this Bolt S smartphone series will be better targeted at featured phone jumpers to smartphones.
