Panasonic P77 With 5-Inch Display, 4G VoLTE Support Launched In India, Priced At Rs. 6990


Panasonic has launched P77, the company’s latest budget 4G smartphone in ‘P’ series that too with Voice-over-LTE (VoLTE) support. Here are the details.

It was Reliance Jio and its Jio 4G SIM trending these day in India, and we are currently witnessing is the competitors launching smartphones with VoLTE, followed by Reliance Digital with its LYF smartphones at a more affordable initiatives. Others on the same route following suit. Panasonic has today introduced another smartphone P77, priced at Rs. 6,990 and it comes with 4G VoLTE support as well.

The Panasonic P77 specifications are as follows. It will be available in two colors – Grey and White, can be bought across all Panasonic retail outlets in the country. Featuring a unibody design and weighs 126 grams. Buyers will also get a protective screen guard as a free accessory inside the box. It was said that Panasonic as a smartphone brand is looking forward to fully manufacture its hardware in India within the next couple of years.

Key features for the Panasonic P77 adds a 5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) fully laminated display. It is powered by 1GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, which is further expandable up to 32GB via microSD card.

Rest of the internal specs includes an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front camera. It packs a 2000mAh Lithium Polymer battery, and as said the Pansonic P77 offers a dual SIM option, 4G VoLTE connection, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 2.0, and A-GPS. On the software front, the Panasonic P77 smartphone runs on Android Lollipop 5.1 out-of-the-box.

There will be a big competition amongst the newly launched Panasonic P77 smartphone vs other 4G VoLTE-enabled smartphones in the country. Like Xiaomi Redmi 3s, priced at Rs. 6999, is going to become a big rival to the Panasonic P77. The smartphone features a 5″ HD IPS screen, Snapdragon 430 Octa-Core 1.4GHz CPU, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal memory and comes with 4100mAh battery power. It also has a 13MP rear camera with PDAF sensor and a 5MP selfie shooter.

When compared Panasonic P77 with Reliance Digital LYF Wind 7, it will fade all around. Reason behind this will be the Wind 7 has a 5-inch HD IPS LCD display with AGC Glass protection, Qualcomm SD210 quad-core 1.3GHz processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB ROM and it has an 8MP AF rear camera along with 5MP front-facing camera sensor and packs a 2250mAh battery.
