BlackBerry has took te wraps of its square-screened Passport last year, and now it has a new model to entice you, the company debuts Silver Edition of the phone.
The BlackBerry Passport Silver Edition is up for pre-order, available in a new color option and the company has launched it like it’s entirely a new device. This variant that wields a “refined design” that includes a stainless steel frame and soft-touch diamond-pattern back cover. Silver version certainly does look more sophisticated, found that the devize’s size to be a bit awkward and the keyboard took some getting used to. With completely unique form factor, but the device rarely found acceptance amongst mainstream users.
The new Silver Edition model of BlackBerry Passport carries the same specs as the original with 4.5-inch square screen with 1440×1440 pixels resolution at 453 DPI. Under the hood, it has a 2.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 CPU and Adreno 330 GPU paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in storage, expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. With 13-megapixel rear camera and 2MP front-facing sensor for selfies and video chat, BB Passport Silver Edition runs on BlackBerry OS 10.3.2 out of the box.
The Silver Edition is available in North America today for $549 with Europe and other countries to follow shortly. BlackBerry will toss in a $130 accessory package at no extra charge. Online retailer Clove already has the phone up for pre-order for £399, interested ones can haed over and secure one for yourself over there.
