Purported OnePlus X Spotted On FCC Site, Hints At New Design, USB Type C Port

OnePlus although been holding an event on October 12 in India, regarding the “Make in India” scenerio, but also expected to launch a new and refreshed model of its OnePlus 2 at the keynote. Bangalore, will be the place where the Chinese manufacturer is scheduled and the conference will be attended by the company’s CEO Pete Lau and OnePlus India General manager, Vikas Agarwal. Rumored that the company is also planning to announce a mid-range smartphone called OnePlus X along side a couple of key announcements.

Just today a FCC has discovered an alleged image of the rumored OnePlus X device, offering a glimpse at the handset, which carries a model number One E1005 and is equipped with connectivity featurtes like GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. An FM Radio and 4G LTE support for bands 1,2,4,5,7 and 8 is present. Measuring in at 139.7 x 55.8 x 6.85 mm the OnePlus X could be an oddly long smartphone.

Interesting thing here is that the purported OnePlus X resembles a lot like the Apple’s iPhone 4s and Xperia Z1 Compact. Unfortunately, it is not clear as yet if the back portion of the phone has a transaprent hard plastic or piano glass finish. The bottom however shows a microUSB connecting port and not the USB Type-C connector like the OnePlus 2 sports. The port is flacked by speaker grille on both sides.

The OnePlus X being targeted as a budget-friendly hardware with metal frame could defenitely add a bit of its premium feel, while it will be the right move to add a glass back. Specs-wise, it was said that the new comer is coming with a 5-inch display, Snapdragon 801 chips, 2GB of RAMN, 32GB of internal storage, a dual-camera setup at the back, and a fingerprint sensor.

If the oft-mentioned are to be believed, then you must expect the OnePlus X price as well, which is aggressively go around $249 or Rs 16,320 approx. OnePlus has sent out invites for an event on October 12. Chances there to witness the OnePlus X go official.
