RIP: Apple Discontinues iPhone 5s Finally

Now that the iPhone SE is a real thing, entered into the 4-inch iPhone segment with all new iOS 9.3 software, goes up for pre-order on Thursday, March 24th, alongside the announced 9.7-inch iPad Pro as well. But it wouldn’t become a good news for the iPhone 5s. Because it’s dead.

Admit that the Apple’s $399 iPhone SE with its iPhone 6s-like specs and feature, and looks like the old iPhone 5s no-longer has a place in Apple’s ever growing smartphone line. But nevertheless, thos who enjoyed playing with the highly polished design aesthetic of 5s, the iPhone SE thankfully is all but identical to the iconic iPhone 5s we all going to love.

Of course, it’s great to see Apple continue to keep the 4-inch form factor alive following its move to 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch monsters with the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus a couple of years ago, wheras the iPhone 5c and iPhone 5s did live on, their ageing specifications and limited capabilities when compared to the latest and greatest Apple had to offer them, placed beside their bigger brothers.

With iPhone 6s innard like 4K video recording, the iPhone SE introduced a faster processor, more RAM, Live Photos, Apple Pay and more. If you, interested in buying a small iOS-powered smartphone, can now do just that without having to compromise on features or performance. The smartphone bcomes available to order on 24th of March and hits the shelves on the 31st of the same month, with a 16GB unlocked iPhone SE varinat ging for $399 and for 64GB variant, it costs $499.

And it’s not to be called a 4-inch iPhone 5s. Discontinued for ever!
