Samsung has announced Galaxy A8 (2016) smartphone, company’s latest successor of last year’s Galaxy A8 in Korea. Here are the details in full fame.
Features and Specifications
The Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016) has upgraded hardware keys and the screen-size of the smartphone is the same as its predecessor. With a 5.7-inch Full HD (1920×1080) pixels Alaway-On Super AMOLED display, the handsets is powered by an 64-bit Octa-Core Exynos 7420 processor (clocks at Quad 2.1GHz + Quad 1.5GHz) 14nm CPU and paired with Mali-T760 GPU, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which is further expandable up to 256GB via microSD card. This time using Exynos, instead of Snapdragon 615 SoC found inside the 2015’s A8.
On the software front, this year’s Galaxy A8 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box. While the smartphone sports a 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/1.9 aperture and on its front, it carries an 8MP selfie camera with f/1.9 aperture sensor.
Most importantly, the all-new Galaxy A8 smartphone has a metal unibody design with 7.2mm sim frame and a Fingerprint sensor on the Home button. Connectivity options includes 4G with Voice-over-LTE (VoLTE) support offering WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS / GLONASS, NFC and more. It packs a 3300mAh battery and comes in Blue, Grey and Pink colors once available in the country.
Price and Release date
The Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016) is priced at 646,000 Won (US$ 588) in Korea and it will be available for pre-order from local operator SK Telecom from October st. The same smartphone, Galaxy A8 (2016) in India will be priced at Rs. 39,240, once it launches in the coming days.
