The China-based smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi seems to be launching a 6.4-inch phablet series very soon, called Xiaomi Max. The name it has made imminent through an online poll conducted on Weibo, which is a Chinese social network.
This time around after introducing Xiaomi Mi5 to the world, the company is gearing up for yet another launch, but with a larger screen hardware. To compete with big brand out there, from Samsung, LG, HTC and of course Sony, Xiaomi is also planning to debut a Note range, which it already has hands-on. With that said, the alleged Xiaomi Max is going to feature a 6.4-inch display, either FullHD or QHD.
Originally, the company has conducted an online poll on the China’s social media to decide upon the name for its upcoming pahblet. Chosen from four, “Xiaomi Pro”, “Xiaomi Plus”, “Xiaomi Max”, and Xiaomi Big. Out of these, Xiaomi Max received maximum number of votes, further became the next phablet.
If this is the case, then the company will be launching Xiaomi Max in the next few weeks or so, that will have a bigger screen-size than Mi Note lineup, which is only 5.9-inch.
For now, nothing is officially confirmed and the company hasn’t revealed much about the specs for the upcoming Xiaomi Max, but as of speculations that hint at the gadget could come with 6.4-inch display at 2K resolution, means it is sporting a Quad-HD display. It’s also suggested that the Xiaomi phablet will also be powered by Snapdragon 820 processor, a fingerprint scanner etc.
The 6.4-inch Xiaomi Max front panel kas been leaked, shows up its truly massive. Compact side bezels, capacitive keys on the chin, earpiece and sensor array, looks very much in line with Xiaomi’s design language.
Xiaomi has also set up an official account for the given fact, “Xiaomi Max” on Weibo, which radically hints at its release date will happen in weeks. Announcement time frame is still unknown!
