The said smartphone Xiaomi Mi 5s has already cleared the Chinese 3C regulatory body few days ago and this time again surfaced in two new leaks.
First and foremost, the alleged Mi 5s phone has been spotted on AnTuTu benchmarking website revealing its specifications. Listing of the phone also shows its screen-size of 5.15-inch with 1920×1080 pixels display resolution. Furthermore, the processor of Snapdragon 821 SoC paired with Adreno 530 GPU also appears and comes with 6GB of RAM + 256GB of internal storage.
Secondary, a separate post on Weibo parts matches with the AnTuTu’s Mi 5s specs. Offers some additional details regarding the upcoming smartphone. According to the leaks, Xiaomi would be ditching the Home button on Mi 5s and could use Qualcomm’s ultrasonic fingerprint scanner underneath the glass finish. For now, it’s unknown how would Xiaomi embed this technology in the Mi 5s.
Rest of other feature additions inside Mi 5s are the 16MP rear-facing camera with f/1.9 aperture and 4-axis optical image stabilization (OIS). Also tipped that this purported Mi 5s will be coming equipped with a 3,490mAh battery with Qualcomm’s Fast Charging 3.0 capabilities.
Currently, we still don’t know when Xiaomi will release Mi 5s in China.
