Xiaomi Mi Max With 6.44-Inch FHD 2.5D Curved Glass Display Launched In India: Price, Specs And Release Date

Xiaomi has launched its gigantic phablet Mi Max in the India market today at an event held in Delhi. Originally, it was announced in China last month and with that given fact, the device will be available in two variants. The new smartphone from Xiaomi is just 7.5mm thick and has a full metal unibody design. It has a 6.44-inch full HD IPS display at a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels 2.5D curved glass screen with 1000: 1 contrast ratio, 72% NTFC color gamut, and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.


Processor, RAM and Storage

The Mi Max runs on MIUI 7-based Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box, which can be upgradable to MIUI 8. Under the hood, it will be available either with Hexa-Core Snapdragon 650 or an Octa-Core Snapdragon 652 chipsets.

It carries a fingerprint sensor on the back and the hardware sports a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera sensor with dual-tone LED flash, PDAF and secondary of 5MP front-facing selfie shooter.

Both the Mi Max variants support expandable microSD card slots and holds an hybrid dual-SIM slots. It supports 4G LTE with VoLTE connections, offering WiFi 802.11ac (2.4 / 5GHz) MIMO, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS options and it packs a 4850mAh battery as a typical offering and a 4760mAh minimum battery cell.


Price & Availability

The Xiaomi Mi Max comes inĀ  Gold, Silver and Light Grey colors and the 3GB RAM + 32GB storage variant is priced at Rs. 14,999. The Snapdragon 652, 4GB RAM plus 128GB Mi Max model costs Rs. 19,999. The two of Mi Max variants will go on sale via mi.com starting from July 6th. Registrations for the sale will begin from today.

The Mi Max will also be made available to purchase through Amazon.in, Flipkart, Snapdeal, Tata CLiQ and PayTM from July 13.
