Redmi Note 2: Xiaomi Rumored To Launch Its Note Phablet With MIUI 7 ROM, Price Tipped

If you have a reader base then this online retailer has already shows up its webpage started taking pre-orders for the Redmi Note 2. Xiaomi, is the Chinese manufacturer, is all set to wrap off its next generation Redmi Note and of course its new MIUI 7 custom operating system purely based on Android Lollipop on August 13, the same day when Samsung will introduce its next-gen Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+.

New rumors surfaced in China, claiming that the long-awaited Redmi Note 2 will finally become official on that date alongside MIUI 7 mobile OS. Pre-orders and shipping is also tipped with price, suggests August 16 as the possible date on which you can book your device. A leaked image also tips the possible price of the device.

This webpage of JD stating the pre-orders for the Redmi Note 2 would commence from 16th of August, could fall in line with an unveiling on Thursday. Leaked screenshot claimed to be from Xiaomi’s online store, gives us the price of the 32GB Redmi Note 2 model. Costs CNY 799 (roughly Rs. 8,211). There is no mention of the 16GB variant at the time we were writing this post. Speculated price of the Redmi Note 2 16GB is priced at  CNY 699 (roughly Rs.7,200). If this price frame becomes accurate, then it’s gonna be competing with the newly available Meizu m2 Note.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 hint towards the inclusion of a fingerprint sensor below the rear camera and the LED flash. Apparent to include a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display; a 13-megapixel rear camera; a 5-megapixel front camera, and a battery larger than 3000mAh. 4G LTE connectivity is also tipped. Two separate reports claim the handset to feature either Mediatek’s Helio X10 (MT6795) chipset or Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 410 (MSM8919) processor.
