The Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has confirmed through a teaser image the the upcoming Redmi Note 3 will be unveiled at an event held by the company on November 24th. Before we got some clarity, it was speculated that it would be Redmi Note 2 Pro, but with this poster outed today, clarifies that the next-gen Redmi Note is imminent, which is the successor to the Redmi Note 2.
Xiaomi has also posted an image showing off the handsets in three colours – Gold, Silver and Grey. Specs-wise, the Redmi Note 3 coming with a metal unibody design and with a fingerprint sensor of its back. Rumors counts with a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD IPS display, is powered by a 2.2GHz Octa-Core MediaTek Helio X10 (MT6795) processor with PowerVR G6200 GPU.
It is also claimed that the next-gen Xiaomi Note will be paired with 2GB or 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM, 16GB and 32GB of internal storage with further expandable microSD card slot. It will be purely based on MIUI 7 with Android 5.0 Lollipop on top. Dual SIM variant sports a 13MP rear camera with dual-tone LED Flash, and houses a 5MP front-camera for better selfie shots.
Both the SIMs on Redmi Note 3 supports 4G LTE bands, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac/b/g/n ( 2.4 / 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.0, GPS + GLONASS. And coming with a massive 4,000mAh battery.
Other than Note 3, we may witness the introduction of Redmi Note 3 Prime – with Helio X10 chipset and 32GB on board storage. But don’t expect to see the launch of Xiaomi Mi5 or Smartwatch, or else the much rumored Mi Pad 2.
