YU Yuphoria Gets A Price Cut With Stock Android Lollipop Now Available For Rs 6499

Micromax Televentures Yu has announced a small Rs 500 price cut for its Yu YUPHORIA 4G LTE-capable smartphone in India, which makes the handset cost a little drop to a mere Rs 6499, which was launched with a price-tag of Rs 6999 in May 2015.

Interesting point to be noted is that the Yu YUPHORIA is also available running the stock Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box instead of Cyanogen OS 12 custom ROM based Lollipop.

Review on the Yu Yuphoria has done by many and in their thought it hasn’t caught by many customers but its Buffed Steel model is available on Amazon.in for the same price-tag after dropping. Specs-wise, the smartphone packs a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display, is powered by a Quad-Core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, has a 8MP auto focus rear camera with LED Flash, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, packs 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage with expansion slot and a 2230mAh battery.

The Yu Yuphoria has support for 4G LTE bands (TDD B40 2300MHz and FDD B3 1800MHz) for India. It also has Cirrus Logic Wolfson Stereo DAC chipset.

Details of Yureka Plus regarding the slashed price to Rs 8,999 and gone on sale via Amazon India running the stock Android 5.0. Cyanogen OS 12.1 update based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop was also announced for currently running CM OS 12, be released soon.
