New Honor Epic on its way

Right now, there aren’t too many details about the upcoming Honor Epic handset, but the teaser image however showing strong suggestions that the device features a dual camera – similar to the Honor 8 released this summer. First of all, this smartphone will be no doubt be sold in the US.

For those unaware of Honor, launched a very interesting smartphone in China earlier this last month – the Honor Magic, which sports a dual-curve display and also attracted by a dual-lens rear camera. Currently, Honor is been selling two smartphone variants in the Northern American market, that too in a relatively inexpensive price tag. If Honor launches Magic smartphone, then, it would be a bit confused to see how it is placed in terms of cost and other form factors.

No other information regarding the new Epic smartphone has been declared that includes its official specifications and the cost. We can also speculate that the Magic, or a similar device, is coming to the US, and should note that there’s absolutely no info suggesting that this will happen.

At this moment, Honor is selling only two smartphones in the US: the Honor 5X and the recent initiative Honor 8. Both are affordable unlocked handsets, and we are assuming that this new version will be the third Honor phone ready to hit the US retail stores. Only thing that we can assume is that the new handset will come running Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.

When compared it to Honor Magic, which offers a 5.09-inch Quad HD 3D curved glass AMOLED display, is powered by an Octa-Core Kirin 950 SoC and on the software front, it carries Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the new Honor Magic Live OS. Of course, it does have equipped with a 12MP rear camera system and an 8MP front-facing selfie camera setup on board.

Battery package that Honor Magic is fixed with 2900mAh battery with Huawei Magic Power fast charging that can be charged for up to 70% within 20 minutes of charge and 90-percent in just 30 minutes.
