2018 MacBook Pro Refresh With Touch Bar, Faster Intel Coffee Lake Chips, Up To 32GB RAM, 4TB Storage, More Announced

Apple has officially updated the high end of its MacBook Pro lineup with same design as their predecessor but in a different style. Given the 13 and 15 inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar a 2018 refresh.

The refresh includes a long-awaited quad-core 13-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar. Apple has not refreshed its 13-inch MacBook Pro models with standard function keys, which remain dual-core configurations.

2018 MacBook Pro With Touch Bar Refresh Announced

The bad news is that more worryingly the 2015 MacBook Pro is now no longer available for sale. And the good is what about the new refreshed MacBook Pro hardware? Effectively a speed bump, the new MacBook Pros gain improved CPUs, higher memory and storage caps, as well as a True Tone display and T2 chip which brings “Hey Siri” functionality.

The new MacBook Pro lineup features faster internals, more RAM, a quieter keyboard, and an improved screen. Although the jury is obviously still out on whether it improves on any of the poor longevity that many users have experienced with the current round of MacBook Pro devices.

Across the line, is now making use of Intel’s 8th generation Coffee Lake chips. To counter the additional power draw from the power-hungry components, Apple has included larger batteries on its new MacBook Pros.

The main talking points of the two new hardware can be seen below.
