Now that the Lenovo A6000 Plus owners can finally experience Android 5.0 Lollipop on their KitKat devices, as the OTA update is currently seeding. Before you go ahead and get updated, check out the update page and if haven’t received a notification yet, try to check again, as Lenovo has officially rolling out the update for the phone.
The build number of A6000_A_0001_15_08_27 and purely based on Android 5.0.2 and for A6000 Plus, the update package itself is around 1092MB. With 2GB of RAM, The A6000 Plus in India is one of the most popular devices and available in the past through consecutive flash sales and for the unknown, it’s the successor to its A6000 variant, launched back in January is yet to get the Lollipop update.
According to Lenovo’s official Android Upgrade Matrix, the A6000 should be getting the Lollipop OTA update by the end of this month. Brings with it Material Design with bold, colorful, and responsive UI architecture, better notifications, battery saver feature, secuity including Android Smart Lock, New Quick Settings, Improved Network hand-offs, fexible sharing, faster, smoother and more powerful experience with ART, new languages etc.
If you own a Lenovo A6000 Plus, you can now go to Settings > Software Updates > Check for Updates, if found over-the-air update. Download and install it for free as it is official now, as it won’t erase any user data, but Lenovo asks users to backup imprtant data in case the update fails.
