Rumor comes reality as we already informed that Google is going to launch Android 5.0 Lollipop update for Android Wear smartwatches yesterday, and now its indeed become true. Google has officially announced Lollipop update for its Android Wear platform.
The update not only bumps the Android version number, but also brings with it a new area of enhancements and inclusions that fit for your Android Wear watches.
Watch faces, which also turns out to be one of the most advertized feature of Android Wear on Google Play Store. Additionally, you can get several new watch faces from the store and can also be able to download right away. A new watch face API for developers also initiated, so that they can expect some crazy ones in the upcoming future.
Although Google also states that Android Wear app will be getting an update over the next week, which will apparently allow you to easily browse, download and switch watch faces with an ease. The Big G however haven’t revealed any details regarding the inclusions that come bundled with the Lollipop release for Android Wear smartwatch.
The update also packs in a few new features, including quick access to screen modes for both dark and bright rooms, as well as the ability to quickly block notifications from apps.
The list here are the Android Wear-powered smartwatches that are going to receive Android 5.0 Lollipop update – ASUS ZenWatch, LG G Watch, LG G Watch R, Moto 360, Samsung Gear Live and Sony Smartwatch 3.
