After releasing the Android Nougat update to the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, Samsung is now rolling out the same to some of its older products that were previously confirmed to receive 7.0 upgrade throughout the year. Here are the reports and other news regarding the update.
Although some carriers in the United States are now pushing out Nougat to some Samsung smartphones including the Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 EDGE+. Now it looks like the South Korean firm has began Nougat updates as well to the Galaxy Tab S2.
Both the variants 8.0 and 9.0 of the tablet, the Galaxy Tab S2 are now eligible for Android Nougat, as many users in Germany and Italy report they have successfully downloaded and installed the update.
Features-wise, the update adds a new UX to the Galaxy tab S2 tablets, along with improved usability of the Notification inclusion and Quick settings button. The Multi window feature has been apparently enhanced as though, along with the tablet’s overall performance.
Release note and the full changelog mentions the Game Launcher app will be installed after the Nougat update is applied. While the speed of system upgrade and app installation should also be improved as well. You will be able to grab the latest Android 7.0 update for your Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 tablets if you head to the Settings app, General > About phone and Software Update section.
