Xiaomi has confirmed that their Mi 6 flagship will come on April 19, prior to the launch event, the company has today released their first teaser. What’s odd is that the newly uploaded teaser by Xiaomi in order to hype up their device launches, and this time again, is no different. Coming straight to the point that Xiaomi Mi6 and Mi 6 Plus are the two new flagships ready to unveil on the given date, but there’s still another product for debut on the same day, which in many ways to be the Xiaomi Mi Max 2. With the teaser outed today, it may be a bit difficult to grasp as it is in Chinese, but nevertheless, the company is trying to reveal that Mi 6 will ship with a dual-lens camera setup on the back.
More of less every phone leak that we’ve seen in the last couple of months and weeks suggested that a dual camera setup will be playing a big part of the package. So the Mi 6 will use Sony’s IMX400 sensor on the back, the same you can find in the Xperia XZ Premium and Xperia XZs – introduced back in February.
Now, a different leak claims something that Sony IMX378 sensor will also be included on the back, two such sensors actually Xiaomi opted for, but IMX378 looks to be more probable choice for this China-based tech giant.
Specifications-wise, when concerned – the Xiaomi Mi 6 will certainly ship with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 64-bit octa-core processor, and will be available in two variants, the regular Mi 6 model with a 5.15-inch display, and a large “Plus” model with a 5.7-inch panel. Other details adds Android Nougat juice based on top of Xiaomi’s own MIUI OS.
Design part here you can find the Xiaomi Mi6 will be made of metal and glass, will sport a Home key underneath its display, which will act double as a fingerprint scanner. Fast charging is also included in this new package, and a ceramic variant of the phone will almost certainly be on sale as well.
