The Chinese manufacturer Gionee has launched the Elife S7 in India at an event in Hyderabad. The Gionee Elife S5 is a 5.5mm thick smartphone and the company’s claims its the slimmest offering for the market.
The Gionee’s slim phone was actually announced at this years’ MWC event last month and the Elife S7 packs a 5.2-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Under the hood, it is powered by a 1.7GHz Octa-Core MediaTek MT6752 64-bit chispet.
The Giaonee Elife S7 runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop with Amigo 3.0 UI skin on top. Interesting part to point on this smartphone would be the back panel which is also protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 3, and it has an aircraft Al-Mg alloy frame, that is the U-shaped design of the aviation-level aluminium magnesium alloy infused frame around the phone helps in maintaining the structural integrity of the body.
The Elife S7 is a dual-SIM handset which is paired with 2GB of RAM, screen goes with a pixel density of 424ppi and it boasts a 13MP primary AF camera with LED flash and flaunts an 8MP selfie-focused front-facing sensor on board. It includes a 16GB of internal storage and which it is not going to support microSD card.
Connectivity options on the Gionee Elife S7 offers 4G LTE (TDD Bands 38, 39, 40; FDD Bands 3, 7), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/ A-GPS, USB OTG, and FM radio. It packs a non-removable 2700mAh battery, which is rated to deliver up to a whole day power to potentially last for another 33 hours 45 minutes of standby time.
Essentially, the S7 will include a Hi-Fi level headphone and offer superior sound quality with instinctive Hi-Fi standard sound system , which brings sound restorations for home theater system experience to an ultra slim phone. The handset measures 139.8×67.4×5.5mm, and is certainly slimmer than it was expected to be, and weighs 127 grams.

Available in White, Black and Blue colors. The Gionee Elife S7 goes on sale in India at a price for Rs. 24,999, which is one thousand rupees less than the HTC Desire 826‘s pricing in the market.
