Here’s The List Of Smartwatches Next To Get Android Wear 2.0 Update

Google has finally launched Android Wear 2.0 with all important changes and improvements optimized with redesign UI, standalone apps, the Google Assistant, smarter watch faces with complications, notifications, a revamped Google Fit app and much more.

Software-wise, Android Wear 2.0, was announced with gesture keyboard and more back last year at I/O developer conference. Today with the introduction of two LG watches running the latest Android Wear 2.0, also shares something about the update release for other Android Wear devices.

Compatibility list of smartwatches that will get the latest Android Wear 2.0 update are briefed here. Slated to roll out to a number of compatible watches sometime in the near future.

LG Watch Sport and LG Watch Style are the two already integrates Android Wear 2.0 on them, and with the Sport model bring with it many more features, including cellular connectivity, GPS, NFC, and a larger battery when compared to 1.20 inches Watch Style model. Both of which pack circular OLED displays and feature a new “rotating power button”, similar to the Digital Crown that lives on all Apple Watch designs since 2014.

Worth noting that we actually doesn’t have an exact timeframe as to when the above mentioned devices will be getting their Wear 2.0 updates. Since man of the first Android Wear watches are not on this update list, such as the first-Gen Moto 360 and LG G Watch, along with the Samsung Gear Live, the first ASUS ZenWatch, and the Sony SmartWatch 3.

Google at the announcement added some salt that Android Wear 2.0 will be available for all supported watches in the next coming weeks without giving an exact release date.
