Partnering with Japanese carrier operator KDDI, HTC has announced J Butterfly as the latest smartp[hone in Butterfly series. The HTC J Butterfly HTV31 is reportedly scheduled to release in early June in Japan, and rumored to launch as HTC Butterfly 3 internationally.
The J Butterfly smartphone comes with a 5.2-inch Super LCD3 QHD (1440×2560p) display. The HTC J Butterfly HTV31 becomes the first Quad-HD smartphone unveiled with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset in Japan. Clocked at 64-bit octa-core (2GHz + 1.5GHz) processor coupled with 3GB RAM and Adreno 430 GPU. When compared, the E9+ and M9+ both rely on a Mediatek solution. Gets 32GB of built-in storage, which can be expandable via microSD card. It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop with HTC Sense UI skin on top.
The new smartphone in Butterfly line-up has integrated with a dual front-facing speakers and has Dolby audio support. The polycorbonate coted J Butterfly HTV 31 features 20MP Duo Camera setup with dual LED flash on its back and the main camera can shoot 2160p video and a 13MP front facing camera.
The J Butterfly body measures 151×73×10.1mm, weighs 162g and comes with IP55/IP57 for protection against the elements, water and dust resistant supports waterproofing rating standards.
Available in Red, Indigo Blue, White colors with all three sporting a glossy finish on the back. Battery package is listed at 2700mAh unit and the device supports quick charging, which HTC quotes 110-minutes charging time, though wiyn an optiuonal AC adapter.
