HTC One M9+ With 5.2″ QHD Display, Fingerprint Reader, Duo Camera 64-Bit Octa-Core SoC Announced

HTC has finally introduced a supercharged version of its flagship HTC One M9 plus that too in Chinese market, which indeed gets a fingerprint sensor. Since the MWC 2015, HTC was rumored of a badly kept secret of the One M9+ as well as the two One E9 variants. Today the Taiwanese handset maker has officially launched the HTC One M9+ at a press event held in Beijing, China.


However, the HTC One M9 Plus looks nearly identical to the all-metal M9, but apparently comes with a slightly larger screen and as mentioned above, with a fingerprint scanner on the lower-front bezel. And of course, its like all of the Apple’s fingerprint sensors and Samsung’s latest offerings in the S6 and S6 Edge, the sensors works with a touch and never let you need to swipe to unlock your phone, but it remains how fast it is to be seen.

Specifications wise, the One M9+ packs a 5.2-inch Quad HD 2K screen – larger and sharper tha the 5″ FHD display on the regular One M9 from HTC and comes with a resolution of 1440 x2560 pixels display. Software end it runs Android 5.0 Lollipop with HTC Sense 7 UI on top of it, which also includes a 32GB of internal storage and the camera department on the M9+ sports a 20.7MP rear f/2.2 aperture camera lens, dual LED flash with secondary lens on its top for depth-sensing. For selfie shots, there you get an UltraPixel camera on its front.

In addition, the HTC One M9+ integrated with mulch-ditectional sensors that eventually lets your finger on the senser in any direction to unlock your handset. Instead of Snapdragon 801, HTC decided to move a step ahead and powered One M9+ by a 2.2GHz Octa-Core MediaTek Helio X10 (MT6795T) Octa-Core 64-bit processor. It also has China Sense for Chinese customers that lets you set different themes and also create themes.

It is paired with 3GB of RAM and added HTC BoomSound speakers with Dolby Surround sound support wcich comes on the front along with a home button integrated with the support for AliPay payment system in China. Whether the fingerprint sensor on the phone will be available outside China, or sold is unknown.

The One M9+ offers a 2840 mAh battery to power the smartphone. Connectivity options go with 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 a/ac/b/g/n (2.4 and 5 GHz), Bluetooth and GPS with GLONASS. Available Gold, Gunmetal Grey and Silver colors.

HTC One M9+ will go on sale in China very soon and also be selling Dot View Case for the smartphone separately.
