Huawei Maimang 5 With Full HD 1080p Screen, Snapdragon 625, 4GB RAM And LTE Support Announced

Huawei has made Maimang 5 official in china today. The company’s latest smartphone in its mid-range has been introduced in the country.


Features and Specifications

The Huawei’s Maimang 5 smartphone features a 5.5-inch 1080p 2.5D curved glass Full HD display with 77.9% screen-to-body ratio. Under-the-hood, it is powered by an Octa-Core 2GHz Snapdragon 625 14nm processor with graphics of Adreno 506 GPU.

On the memory side, the Maimang 5 is paired by a 3GB of RAM with 32GB of storage and also made available with 4GB RAM + 64GB storage. It also supports 128GB microSD card and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with EMUI 4.1 skin on top.

For calls and data, it has an Hybrid Dual SIM (nano+nano or SD card). The Maimang 5 offers 4G LTE with VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, USB Type-C port and it packs a 3340mAh battery. The full metal body Maimang 5 also integrated with a fingerprint sensor on its back that can unlock the device within 0.3 seconds.

Now about the photography and color options. The Maimang 5 sports a 16MP rear camera with dual-tone LED Flash, PDAF, OIS,  Sony IMX298, f/2.0 aperture, 6P lens, 4K video recording. Secondary camera features an 8MP front-facing sensor. Available in Champagne Gold, Rose Gold and Moonlight Silver.


Price and Release Date

The Huawei Maimang 5 with 3GB RAM/32GB storage is priced at 2399 Yuan and for the 4GB RAM and 64GB internal memory, it will set you back at 2599 Yuan.Currently, it is available for preorder in China and initially goes on sale starting July 21.
