Huawei MediaPad M2 Unveiled Un-Officially, Gets 8-inch Display, Octa-Core SoC Under The Hood

The Chinese tablet maker ‘Huawei‘ has quietly wraps off the MediaPad M1 tablet successor in France, called Huawei MediaPad M2. Tablet with 8-inch display and metal body, the slate made an appearance in a pop-up Huawei boutique in central Paris. When it is said the MediaPad M2 has silently unveiled, then it is spotted by a French blog which is said to feature a full HD display, and is powered by a 64bit octa-core Huawei’s Kirin 930 chipset clocked at 2GHz CPU and paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage with am expandable microSD card support.

Huawei MediaPad M2 has an 8MP main camera with LED flash, coupled with 2MP front-facing unit, which the tablet measures 7.8mm thin and weighs 310 grams, It packs a 4800mAh massive battery package and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop based Huawei’s Emotion UI (EMUI) 3.1 skin on top.

It boots customized Android Lollipop and has Cat.4 LTE support. Pricing, according to the reports, the Wi-Fi only variant of the Huawei MediaPad M2 will be priced at EUR 279 (INR 19,900 and $311) and the Wi-Fi + 4G variant to EUR 349 ($389, approximately Rs. 24,900).

The MediaPad M2 is expected to hit the Europen Store shelves in early June. Priced at €349 and available to purchase in Silver, Gray and Gold colour options.
