The oftenly leaked Huawei P8 is almost official, with the unviling scheduled for next week, on April 15. Two new Huawei smartphones are incoming and one of which will be a regular version of the P8 variant, and the other will be a platinum version, which is the top-end edition of the Huawei P8. Also expected to witness another mid-range offering from the Chinese manufacturer, i.e. the Huawei Honor 4C Play? More details on the price and release time frame can be found after this jump.
Let’s talk about the pricing, the P8 will be purportedly comning in two different versions, the cheaper offering will be sold in China for CNY 2,988, which at the current exchange rates goes with a $486 USD or €442 Euros.
Now about the premium Huawei P8 iteration, which is said to go with a price tag of CNY 3,288 ($535, €487). Apparently, the smartphone should get a seperate launch in China, on April 22, and also suggested to go on sale over the next day – on April 23, where the company will make the device available for sale.
According to the leaked documents originating at Suning, one of the China’s biggest retailer, all the information came out from. As far as we talk about the Huawei P8 specifications, it’s rumored to be powered by the company’s own Kirin 935 chipset, and is expected to pack a 3GB of RAM, 16GB ROM, microSD card support.
Other than that the Huawei’s new handset will flaunt a 13MP main camera with LED flash and a 5 MP front-facing sensor for selfie captures. With a 5.2-inch FHD (1080p) display, the battery is expected to be around 2520mAh and the phone is said to run on Android 5.0 Lollipop with Huawei’s own Emotion UI on top.
