Chinese smartphone maker Huawei rumored to be developing its own mobile operating system to reduce its dependance on Google’s Android intiative. According to a report emerged from China, the OS has been in development for the past few years now. Huawei is being in the top three largest smartphone vendor in China, is said to be working on a new smartphone that would run its own OS. More details on this news can be found after this fold.
Huawei in the past few weeks rumored to be the next Nexus smartphone manufacturer, and some details were also been alleged as well. But today it was said that the manufacturer is indeed working n its own Mobile operating system for smartphones. Dubbed Kirin, new OS comes with the similar name of its own shipset.
Eralier reports also suggests that both the ZTE and Huawei together partnering to make their own OS in order to reduce their dependance. Now that the reports which are un-confirmed suggests that Huawei is reportedlt planning to release a new smartphone running Kirin OS out of the box. Exclusive to Huawei and will be well optimized to work with Huawei’s Kirin SoC.
Of course, if the new OS from Huawei runs on smartphones, will eventually be coming to tablets as well. Release date timeframe isn’t given as yet, not when the company will announce about its new mobile OS though.
Competition will be huge and if Huawei enters the OS platform globally, Google’s Android vs. Apple’s iOS vs. Windows Phone OS vs. Samsung’s Tizen. Tough challenge to convince users to switch to a new OS will be a mere difficult.
Although, Huawei has sent out press invites for an event in New York City next month, on June 2. Huawei is said to be chosen by Google as one of the makers of the next Nexus handset. Could it be the date, to shows off its own mobile OS? Stay tuned!
