Qualcomm has recently announced its latest Snapdragon 835 chipset with Samsung 10nm processing asset, which was actually rumored to be featured inside the Galaxy S8 flagship smartphone next year, but according to one iSuppli analyst, Xiaomi Mi6 will be the first Chinese device to get Qualcomm’s SD835 SoC. Here are the details.
Not only Xiaomi’s Mi 6 and Samsung’s Galaxy S8, but there’s still another Chinese phone, the OPPO Find 9 to be powered by the latest Snapdragon 835 chipset with Quick Charge 4.0 capabilities. Three new Android-powered smartphones would launch in March 2017 that too with the already rumored Snapdragon 835 processor.
However nothing is literally verified as yet, but it should coincide with previous rumors and predictions that Samsung, Xiaomi and OPPO will find their best way into the top-end smartphone market, since the South Korean’s Galaxy S8 be the first to introduce Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC.
Apparently, there are other reports claiming that the Xiaomi Mi6 could be the first domestic player to come with the latest Qualcomm SD835 CPU. The processor that promises higher performance with a 40% reduction in power consumption compared to existing Snapdragon chipsets. It indeed comes with Quick Charge 4.0, which suggests that is capable to offer up to five hours of usage or more with just five minutes of charging.
The chipset from Qualcommm on any smartphone will be supporting 4K display and dual-lens camera, all of which hints at the Mi5 successor to come with these advanced features. Latest photos leaked of the Xiaomi Mi6 already showing off the smartphone’s front and back design, and the leaked images also points at the hardware sporting a 2.5D curved glass display and a physical Home button at the bottom, which is predicted to double as a fingerprint scanner.
Later, the same rumored Mi6 device appears to have a dual tone design with a metal back, the camera module with LED flash is placed right the top-left corner, although, the images doesn’t show a dual-camera system. Currently, there is no exact information outlined by Xiaomi or Qualcomm about using the new processor. So we have to wait for the official announcement which could take place at the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2017) when Xiaomi releases Mi6.
Now about the OPPO Find 9 with the exact Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. Details regarding the purported smartphone from OPPO are scarce, and is expected that it may come powered by the latest Android 7.0 Nougat. Oppo Find 9 is also said to come with a huge 6GB of RAM memory and 32GB of internal storage.
About the Samsung Galaxy S8, is likely to come with a bezel-less 5.5-inch display with 4K resolution AMOLED display. The screen you find on the unannounced Galaxy S8 will continue with dual-curved edges and protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Moreover, the Galaxy S8 is already rumored to carry an optical fingerprint sensor and ditch the physical home button. To use Snapdragon 835 chip, and packs an 8GB RAM, and battery of 4200mAh capacity. The Samsung’s new Galaxy S8 to offer rapid Wireless Charging as well.
Wait! The aforementioned are not officially confirmed so take these with a pinch of salt and wait for the actual date.
