It’s now official, as Intex has launched Aqua Fish smartphone – the first mobile device licensed Sailfish OS 2.0 in the world. It was actually introduced at this year’s MWC, which was also expected to go live in April. On July 23rd, the company has officially made it available to purchase, only exclusively via eBay India at Rs. 5,499. The smartphone will soon be offered on Amazon, Flipkart and Snapdeal in the coming weeks. Here are the complete details on the new smartphone running Jolla’s Sailfish OS.
Specifications And Price
First of all taking the new Aqua Fish hardware key features. It has a 5-inch HD display at a resolution of 1280×720 pixels screen. Next about the under-the-hood, is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor of Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 (MSM8909) SoC, and the graphics coupled by Adreno 305 GPU. The smartphone is paired by a 2GB of RAM, includes 16GB of internal storage, which is further expandable upto 64GB via microSD card.
On the software front, the Aqua Fish runs on Sailfish OS 2.0 out-of-the-box, which is obviously a custom UI that also has improved Android application compatibility and browser experience, smoother transitions and overall performance and stability. It has dual SIM functionality that supports 4G LTE, offering 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. It packs a 2500mAh battery full a full backup.
Now that the smartphone has been announced, it carries an 8MP rear-facing camera sensor with LED flash and a 2MP front camera for selfies. It will come in Orange color option.
