Security expert and cracker, Stefen Essar aka i0n1c, has managed to upload a video on how he done the jailbreak iOS 8.4 beta possible. iPhone fans who has witnessed it in action, where he has posted a video proof of it, shows up his iPhone 6 Plus running jailbroken iOS 8.4 beta 1. Jailbreakers are aware of what they are doing and here are some details regarding this new iOS 8.4 jailbreak demoed on video.
Before we go ahead of speak about the jailbreak, you don’t expect a public jailbreak for iOS 8.4 or any other iOS firmware to come straight from i0n1c very soon. Ever since Apple patched all the vulnerabilities used by TaiG in order to jailbreak iOS 8.1.3, and made it impossible to those to jailbreak iPhone, iPad or iPod touch running iOS 8.1x to iOS 8.3, 8.4 and even on iOS 8.2.
Recently, when the Cupertino company pushed iOS 8.3 download links to public it plugged even more exploits used by TaiG and unfortunately that meant that jailbreaking just wasn’t possible if you wanted to use the latest, and most stable version of Apple’s iPhone and iPad software.
Nevertheless, and finally a jailbreak veteran i0n1c has released a proof of concept video which not only shows jailbreak iPhones, but one that is actually running Apple’s latest beta release – iOS 8.4 beta 1.
According to him, “vulnerability itself is however not new to iOS. Instead it is inside the code virtually forever,” which is an interesting buzz indeed, particularly if you follow the jailbreak scene as closely as we know some of you do. With this video i0n1c also tries to temper expectations by pointing out that there are still holes to be worked out, but however, we are now admitting that are close to a jailbreak for the post-iOS 8.3 word than we were.
Here’s what i0n1c brief demo goes with, all-new Music app, which was introduced in iOS 8.2, the Apple Watch companian app – comes pre-installed with 8.2 firmware, and also redesigned Emoji keyboard, which it all means that iOS 8.3 jailbroken already been done.
Apple when released iOS 8.3, it came packed with security fixes with the count reaching almost forty. Apple takes iOS secuity seriously and while at times it has seemed to be relaxing its stance on jailbreaking, there’s a little doubt that the team inside Cupertino doesn’t like anyone messing with its operating system. Then when Scott Forstall was in charge with the case, and the same in fact with Jony Ive at the helm.
Finally, with this new i0n1c’s demo video on iOS 8.4 jailbreak, and most likely iOS 8.3, at least gives us hope that it is possible than never. We can expect TaiG or Pangu Team to figure out how to jailbreak it sometime in the near future.
Notably, in the current situation there’s no word on when this proof of concept will turn into something a little more concrete. But for the sake of jailbreak community, we just hope i0n1c makes this one a reality and release it to public when ready.
Whenever there is an update on the sate of jailbreak, we’ll post it here on TG as soon as possible. Stay tuned!
