Apple’s New 3D Touch Video Confirms iPhone 6s Is Backed By 1715mAh Battery

Trusted analysts reports and photos of the upcoming iPhone 6s’ battery looked very similar to that of the battery capacity would be lower than the last year’s iPhone 6’s. Now that a video at Apple’s “Hey Siri” event showed off 3D Touch revealed the 6s battery capacity, officially.


Video here shows the iPhone 6s is dismantled and viewers can see that the battery is marked “1715 mAh”. Confirming previous speculations, which although said that the iPhone 6s’ battery capacity would be down to 1715mAh from the 1810mAh of iPhone 6. Rumors also indicated that the larger 5.5-inch iPhone 6s Plus would see its capacity drop down to 2750mAh fromthe 6 Plus’s 2910mAh unit.

Finally, the iPhone 6s Plus’s true battery capacity is currently unconfirmed, though, confirmation of a lower capacity will likely come in next few weeks as both the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus are subject to teardowns and techinical breakdowns.

Here’s what Apple say regarding the smaller batteri size on new comers, as it stated that battery life for the iPhone 6s remains unchanged as for the iPhone 6, indicating its efficiency has been improved in a new model. Additionally, the new Apple Taptic Engine takes up significant amount of space that had previously been devoted to battery.

What next? We should wait for its release date and once its been available, we can decide how much battery power both the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus worth.
