Specifications of the much-rumored camera on the upcoming iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus appears to have been leaked online, alongside the new Blue color variant also shown its face in another iPhone 7 leak. With some other internal parts, as well as details on previously talked design and hardware choices that Apple could go with.
Folks! Apple has made the September 7th iPhone 7 event official where it will be unveiling the two new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. Sent out invites for the media event on Wednesday in San Fransisco next week.
Rumors and rest of what you call them, speculations on the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus comes to an end, as both will carry the same design as the 2015 iPhone 5s/6s Plus (or 2014’s iPhone 6/6 Plus) with added tweaks, but what the fans are expecting with the internal specs ofd the device would be on the camera front. It seems Tim Cook company will be sticking to a 12MP sensor, but the rumors and leaks alleging a larger sensor for the 4.7″ iPhone 7, and of course, a dual-lens camera system for the 5.5-inch iPhone 7 Plus, the detailed specs leak become even more sought after.
If these new ones are anything to go by the leaks, the iPhone 7 will be featuring a 12MP unit, with a 1/2.6” sensor, f/1.9 aperture, and 1.3 µm pixels. When compared to iPhone 6s’s cam, packed a 1/3″ sensor and a f/2.2 aperture. It will be interesting to see what exact changes in specs extremely translate into, and obviously what will be more interesting is dual-lens packing iPhone 7 Plus.
Apple’s next-gen flagship will see the camera in two 12MP units, with 1/3″ sensor, and a f/1.9 aperture. The pixel size on the 7 Plus would remain in the dark for now. In addition to the camera aspects, the leak also gives information about the amount of RAM both phones will pack, with the iPhone 7 retaining the same 2GB RAM found in last year’s iPhones, while the iPhone 7 Plus will be given a chunky 3GB of RAM. This increase in RAM memory for the 5.5″ unit possibly hints at a more powerful and intensive camera experience given the dual-camera arrangement.
As for processor and battery, both the phones “iPhone 7/7 Plus” are said to sport Apple’s A10 and M10 chips with larger batteries. Will find 1960mAh on iPhone 7 and 2910mAh on iPhone 7 Plus. The screen resolution details on both is expected to remain same as iPhone 6s/6s Plus.
However, these leaks doesn’t mention or tipped anything on OIS being made available on the 4.7-inch iPhone 7, as has been suggested courtesy of a camera module leak over a week ago. For the iPhone 7 Plus, there’s been enough suggestion that OIS tech will continue to be found on Apple’s flagship year after year.
Apple has added a new rose gold color to the 2015’s iPhone 6s lineup in order to bolster sales. In 2016, Apple might introduce yet another new color for both of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus models, instead continuing with the rose gold, could also bring the new Space Black. Yet another leaked render shows the grayish blue color, as opposed to the flat deep blue color in those early renders.
