Is Apple Planning To Launch A Stylus Alongside Rumored 12.9″ iPad Pro?

Question here apparently points to a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 like Stylus which Apple may be creating it for its alleged 12.9-inch iPad Pro tablet. Rumors already from Ming-Chi Kuo from KGI Securities claim that Apple is reportedly considering its own stylus or iPen or Apple Pen or whatever for its upcoming iPad Pro, or it the Air Plus.

Apple May Be Creating a Stylus for the Rumored iPad ProStylus for the iPad Pro will be an accessory from Apple which is expected to be announced in second quarter of 2015, and Kuo believes that users will not need a stylus initially and hence Apple will launch it as an optional add-on. Apple has already has patents for its own stylus, and a bigger iPad, which will be marketed toward creatives and artists who need the pen to do their their tablet-based artwork.

It was noted in the past as there wouldn’t interest the average user anyway if there will be an 12.9-inch iPad Pro, because they would prefer going to a smaller iPad Air or iPad mini. Stylus, will be very simple to start and at least first generation of the device won’t require any hardware changes on the iPad itself though we could see what he calls “3D Handwriting,” with the iPad able to detect the stylus even when it’s off the screen and to allow the user to write on other surfaces or even in the air.

Additionally, Apple Stylus is also said to get some advanced abilities like built-in gyroscopes or accelerometers. Further, Kuo adds that stylus with iPad Pro will use Lightning connector to even charge, which Apple believed to be launching a 12.2-inch iPad alternative.

Kuo in his report says:

Given that it’s more precise than a person’s fingers, a stylus can be more convenient to use than the combination of keyboard and mouse in some cases. Therefore, we believe Apple’s stylus will improve the user experience of 12.9-inch iPad.”

However, the idea is great and more interesting one. But if Apple does want to enter the world of gizmo pens, many companies like Microsoft and Wacom, will offer some though competition in the future as Samsung sits at the top of Stylus digitizer pens.

Do you think Apple really planning to release a stylus alongside its new and alleged iPad Pro with 12.9 inch Retina display? Share you thoughts!
