Google has announced the next major version of Android v7.0 officially be called Nougat. On Snapchat today, the search giant has named the next version of its mobile operating system an absolutely worst dessert identity. After all, it is now official, and its Google’s own opinion that we can’t change it decisions. Anyhow, we have got some more details on the latest Android Nougat software.
The Adwords company has taken to social media to confirm that the next major OS iteration, which has been referred to as Android N until today, will now be known by its gown up name, Android Nougat. Fans of the open-source software weren’t expecting or hoping for, but let’s be honest here, it’s a whole lot better than same of the bizarre suggestions that have been far floating around the world wide web ever since Android N was originally announced back in March this year.
Though, we still don’t have official confirmation from Google of a version number for the next-generation of Android version, but at least we know by now what it’s going to be called, and more importantly, what the new quirky robot looks like that will right away take pride of place outside of Google’s Mountain View campus in California alongside all of the other statues that represent historical monuments of Android.
This latest Google reveal is not that Android Nougat is probably the least sugary name that they’ve managed to go by with to date, but more than that the company utilized the power and rich of social media as one of the platforms of choice to make the unveiling.
Google created a Snapchat story that had initially showed off the rest of the Android version statues on its campus before finally introducing the Nougat statue to the world as part of the official reveal.
Now that all we know is what the new major version of Android is going to be called, and currently, we just need to sit back and wait patiently unti it actually gets its first public rollout sometime later this summer.
Update x1: Official video from Google outed, confirmed that Android Nougat is carrying version 7.0. Damn!
