Leaked Render Shows HTC ‘Marlin’ Nexus Prototype Running Android Nougat [Image]

A new and alleged image has been spotted on the internet suggesting that is the prototype of the purported HTC Marlin Nexus 2016 phone. As of now, we all are accompanied of knowing the the Taiwan-based manufacturer is working two Nexus smartphones, codenamed M1 and S1 (aka Marlin and Sailfish).

Now that the rumored ‘Marlin’ Nexus phone appears to be running Android 7.0 Nougat. Additionally, a new FCC listing has tipped a new Huawei Nexus device, believed to be the successor to last year’s Nexus 6P. Leaked image was been posted by TechDroider, showing the handset covered in a cover to hide the actual design.

The source also shows up the settings page of the handset running Android 7.0, and the model number of the leaked listed as ‘Marlin’. HTC and Huawei both will be releasing their Nexus devices this year. But unfortunately, no other details can be discovered from the leaks anyhow.

Based on the previous leaks, the HTC Marlin Nexus smartphone is said to sport a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C port, much like the current Nexus device. With that said, the HTC’s Nexus phone is also speculated to feature a 4GB of RAM, 12MP rear and 8MP front-facing camera sensors. Expected to come in 32GB and 128GB built-in storage options, and managed to get a package of 3450mAh battery. Highlight of the phone would be that the HTC Marlin is said to support Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity options for pairing.

Another leak points at Huawei‘s Nexus devices dubbed the H1622 and H1710VL. Listing at FCC claims two new Nexus smartphone from the Chinese maker. Considering there have been multiple rumors suggesting both the new Nexus phones from HTC this year, it may be unlikely we witness the launch of Huawei Nexus phones this year.
