Legit Xiaomi Mi5 Black Edition Leaked In Photo?

Here we got an interesting image of the alleged Xiaomi Mi5 smartphone. Picture was actually brought to our attention by a tipper, and the shot surfaced on Weibo. Showing us what it appears to be the next generation Mi smartphone by Xiaomi. Possible Mi5 white edition already leaked few days ago and now it hints that the Black Edition of Xiaomi Mi5 launch is apparent at CES 2015.


The Chinese manufacturer is pretty much rumored to unveil the Xiaomi Mi5 at CES few days after, so the leaks credible enough. The handset however bears a lot of similarity to the Xiaomi Mi5. Design seems to be very much the same of Xiaomi Mi4, with the signature MIUI is also clearly visible though.

Talking about the mysterious Black Edition Mi shows the Xiaomi logo and MIUI altogether and appear to be significantly larger than the 5-inch Mi4. The alleged Mi5 does shows up its remarkable thin bezel, significantly thinner than its predecessor. Nevertheless, the gadget in this picture is a much bigger cell phone perhaps measuring between 5.5-inch and as much larger between 5.7-inch.

However, we can’t see the receiver, light sensor, camera, speaker position and Xiaomi’s logo very clearly. But the newly leaked photo shows a black device with a lit-up screen, which won’t be a definite match that can be configured right now as yet.

Rumors already surfaced claiming that the purported Xiaomi Mi5 specs go with a 4G LTE connectivity, a 2K QHD display, power ups with Snapdargon 805 SoC and at least runs on 3GB of RAM. Currently, none of these information surfaced about the unknown smartphone is legit and not be confirmed as official, but take it with grain of salt.
