LG G4 May Feature A Slightly Curved Display, As Reports Suggest; Details

Following the curved-edge brands like Galaxy S6, S6 Edge and HTC One M9, LG G4 is said to have a slightly curved screen with a 5.5-inch Quad HD display at a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. More details on the eagerly-anticipated LG G4 release date and specs can be grabbed right after this jump.

Although the LG G4 is scheduled for a launch on April 29, and naturally, the phone is attracting a lot of attention. With this new report, it makes some sense when considering its display, hardware and design, but according to Business Korea report, an un-expected curve-ball in the mix – an allegedly curved display surfaced and added to the buzz.

The G4 screen is said to be curved slightly by 300mm from the top of bottom of the handset, to put this into context, the LG G Flex 2 is 700mm curved from the top to the bottom. However, with a slightly bent screen, LG G4 will not be looking like the GALAXY S6 edge radios of 3000mm. And with a 300mm curved screen on LG G4, actually makes the angle so slight that nobody manged to detect it from all the renders and even a few live photos of the device. LG G4 might be curved only to better handling, other than that nothing so important.

However, the LG G4 does come with a user-removable battery and also boasts a better camera, at least on paper, expecting the 16MP rear snapper with f/1.8 aperture for clicking wide-angle images. With a 5.5” True HD IPS display of QHD resolution and made from Corning Gorilla Glass 4 and a Snapdragon 808 chipset with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of on-board storage – it makes the LG flagship more powerful.

Notably, LG has also announced that it will offer free screen replacement and free 64GB microSD card for all those who pre-order the G4 in Korea. And also running a LG G4 trail program in few countries to let a select group pf people try it out before it goes officially available. Software front, the LG G4 runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.
