It’s the ASUS’ ZenFone 2 (ZE551ML) already seen the light of launch in Taiwan, China, India, recently in Malaysia and now in the North USA. Asus originally announced ZenFone 2 at CES back in January, in 4 to 5 variants went on sale in parts of Asia, later got released in Europe at the end of March. And today, it’s finally arriving to North America. More details on which models of Asus ZenFone 2 (ZE500CL, ZE550ML, ZE551ML) are going to hits the store shelves in the US can be grabbed right after this jump.
The newest Asus ZenFone flagships landing in the US and said to be getting two models around these parts, one that’ll cost $199 off-contract and another that’ll run you to buy at $299. Today at a special event in New York Asus hairman Jonney Shih made an announcement about the Zenfone 2 will become available in the US and Canada on May 19.
Two variants of the handset will be offered, both coming with the ZE551ML model number, which meanbs one of that is aired with 2GB of RAM and the other with 4GB of RAM, you can get a device with a 5.5-inch 1080p touchscreen, a 13 MP rear camera with dual-LED flash, a 5 MP selfie snapper, 2 gigs of RAM, 16GB of expandable storage, a 3,000 mAh battery, and an Intel Atom Z3560 chipset (with a 1.8 GHz quad-core CPU).
Interested in shelling out $100 more, then the RAM amount doubles to 4 gigs, storage expanded to 64GB and the chipset bumped up to an Intel Atom Z3580 clocked at 2.3GHz quad-core CPU. Don’t worry, both the handests runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop with Asus ZenUI skin on top.
Notably, the only difference in the two ZenFone 2 ZE551ML would be the RAM memory and the processor and the price as well, and of course unlocked though.
