It’s the Q3 of 2015 which OnePlus was only committed to be releasing its next smartphone and it points to the July to September launch date time frame. Now that a new rumor from China emerged, giving us a more accurate timeframe, at least for the 2nd-Gen OnePlus announcement. Details can be found right after this jump.
Exact official date for the launch of the OnePlus 2 is said at some point in July. Before that, the company has already invited all the interested ones to participate in their two new contests – Photo Mania 2015 and “Your Own OnePlus Story“.
News that comes apparently from the source that’s been reliable in the past, for waht it’s worth. Meanwhile, more interesting is that the new OnePlus device is also rumored to start at CNY 1,999 in China, which translates to $322 or €285, currently.
Internation model of the OnePlus 2 handset to be offered starting at $349 and €349, respectively. If this turns out to be true. That’s going to be $100 and €100 more than what the OnePlus One is being sold for now and $50 over its launch price.
These levels however are still considerable at affordable pricing with the high-end specs of the OnePlus 2. Reportedly to sport Snapdragon 810 chipset, 3GB of RAM, 13MP rear camera, and FullHD (1080px) touchscreen.
More over the OnePlus 2 is going to run its in-house developed version of Cyanogen OS 12.1 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop. Now, we have to wait for the final call from the Chinese manufacturer to wrap off.
