Once updated, the smartphone will boot to Android 5.0.1 with Flyme OS 4.5.1A. Meizu Max4 Pro launched with 4.4.4 KitKat with Flyme OS 4.0 officially. Meizu did not launch MX4 Pro in most parts of the world including India, US and Europe.
Flyme OS is the custom Android ROM build powering Meizu MX4 Pro. With the latest and major OS upgrade, it got all the goodies such as Material Design, ART runtime, improved battery performance, new UI animations and said to improve the accuracy of the device’s home button, as well as partially address its heating issues. The overall phone speed and app launch time has noticeably improved.
Manually you can go to to Settings > About Phone > Software Updates – Check for Updates, and if found on Meizu Mx4 Pro. Download it if available, and the phone automatically upgrade the software – wait for the installation process completes.
