Microsoft has announced yet another budget range smartphone for the IMEA, Italy, and APAC regions at an affordable sub $150 price point and will be arriving next month offering as a lower mid-range specked phone. More details on the Microsoft Lumia 540 Dual SIM can be checked after this break.
Successor to the Lumia 530 and the Lumua 535 , the new Lumia 540 comes with a Smart Dual SIM feature that let users create unique profiles for each SIM and also stay connected with call-forwarding. The handset runs on Windows Phone 8.1 with Lumia Denim update out of the box and which is capable for Windows 10 upgrade in the future.
The Lumia 540 Dual SIM features a 5-inch 720p HD display, and is powered by a 1.2GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 200 mobile processor. It is paired with 1GB of RAM, brings with it the modest 8GB of onboard storage. Unfortunately, it doesn’t carry a microSD card slot.
Measuring 9.35mm thick and weighs at 152g, the Lumia 540 sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and Auto-Focus sensor. Camera on its front goes with a 5MP wide-angle selfie cam. It is a Dual SIM handset supports 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, GPS / aGPS connectivity options and is backed by a 2200mAh battery package.
Microsoft Lumia 540 Dual SIM will be available in glossy cyan, orange, white, and matte black colors, and of course it gets 15GB OneDrive cloud storage by default and additional 15GB storage if auto-upload to OneDrive is activated.
Price starts at a RRP of $149 (Rs. 9299 approx) and will go live on sale in India, the Middle East and Africa, Asia Pacific in May.
