Moto G5 and G5 Plus Review:
In short, the Moto G5 features a 5-inch 1080p full HD Corning Gorilla Glass 3 display, when compared to the 5.2-inch one on G5 Plus. Both the displays are 1920-by-1080 pixel resolution panels and both are considered larger than those of the G4 duo, which have 5.5-inches screens.
The Moto G5 is powered by 1.4GHz octa-core Snapdragon 430 CPU, 2GB of RAM, 16 to 32GB of storage expandable via microSD card. Versus the Moto G5 Plus’s Snapdragon 625 SoC, this is how exactly each chipset is driven by eight Cortex-A53 cores, and the SD625 is clocked at up to 2GHz instead. And a 2-4GB RAM (depending on region), 32 to 64GB storage which supports dedicated SD card.
The G5 handset gets the power of 2800mAh battery which is a removable one and supports Motorola’s ultra-fast Turbo charging, also sports a 13MP rear and 5MP front cameras. Then the G5 Plus has a slightly bigger 3000mAh battery, but the G5’s offers more conventional 10W “fast” charging. The G5 Plus’s camera sensor is of 12MP, which was awarded the best sensors of 2016, which also has a phase detection autofocus and a faster lens (f/1.7 aperture vs. f/2.0 for the G5). Also there is a 5MP selfie shooter, NFC for mobile payments.
Both the Moto G5 and G5 Plus includes Android 7.0 Nougat mobile operating system out-of-the-box, a fingerprint scanner less ugly than on the G4 Plus, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
If we speak about the available colors, the Moto G5 and G5 Plus will come in Lunar Gray and Fine Gold options at launch in March.
