Moto Z2 Play Leaked Press Renders, Redesigned Home Button & More

Motorola seems to be planning to launch Moto Z Play successor in the next few weeks, according to a new report surfaced already. Arguably, the last year’s Moto Z Play is one of the most powerful mid-range smartphone to hit the market, and this year, rumors spread their mill to a higher end. Now, tons of details have emerged on the new Moto Z2 Play.

First leaked render of Moto Z2 Play details the design of the upcoming phone which appears to be similar to that of its predecessor. Newly leaked image appears to be of the second-generation Moto Z Play seems to retain the protruding camera bump, LED flash, a front-facing flash, as well as the connector pins for Lenovo’s Moto Mods like the JBL speaker, Hassleban camera, Insta-share projector and Incipio offGRID power bank. One and only design differences compared to last year’s model is the shape of the physical Home button. This time around, the Home button appears to be better looking than the square obstruction of the Moto Z and Moto Z Play from last year. However, the leaked render did not give an exact information, other than the fact that the new device follows a similar design language to Motorola’s flagship devices from last year. As far as we know about the phone from the hardware perspective, the upcoming device does not appear too different from its predecessor, instead it should be significantly improved in terms of specifications. Something like the new Moto Z2 Play offer a long battery life, a slightly better display, an improved processor and likely a similar yet improved camera system. Because we can give you an accurate pin point as the leaked render can’t be taken into consideration or verified, though. There’s still no word from Lenovo, or either Motorola on this topic. But the only confirmation is that Chinese company will be bringing as many as seven smartphones in the first week of June.
