Motorola Moto G4’s Teaser Hints At Fingerprint Scanner, Bigger Battery And Fast AutoFocus Camera

Indeed Motorola is hosting a launch event on May 17 in India, where we can expect to see the unveil of the fourth-generation Moto G. 2016 refresh is upcoming, according to these reports, the Lenovo-owned manufacturer could release a premium version, currently rumored as Moto G4 Plus. Motorola has started up teasing different elements and components of the next Moto G4 smartphones on its social media timelines.

First to witness was the Moto G4 battery life, which Motorola tweeted a couple of scenarios where a person was frustrated by smartphone’s battery life. The tweet reads “#MISSING since he was about to propose a girl he likes. With better battery, no more missing out. Coming soon!

Wonder why one there are two different models on the smartphones, Moto G4 Plus and the basic model of Moto G4, at least one of it will likely to come equipped with a fingerprint sensor. Another tweet posted by Motorola itself, reads – ‘#Missing since his dad saw his browser history. With better security, make it daddy proof. Coming soon!’. With that teased, we can now admit that the G4 Plus possible featuring a fingerprint scanner placed underneath the display.

Last feature being teased was about the Moto G4’s fast autofocus camera module. The tweet reads – ‘The autofocus ruined Stacy’s 18th birthday picture. Stop #missing on milestones with a better camera. Coming soon!

Camera setup on the new Moto G4 could sport a Phase Detection AutoFocus (PDAF), known very well to focus on a subject in less than a second. To compete with LeEco Le 1s and Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, Motorola’s 2016 smartphones will need a capable shooter and to highlight that, the company is teasing its best.

Specs-wise, the Moto G4 and the Moto G4 Plus will have similar set of hardware keys with only the fingerprint reader differentiating the two variants. The Plus Moto G4 variant is expected to also include laser autofocus (AF) along with its primary camera.

In terms of design, both devices are alleged to feature curved edges, matte finish, and phill-shaped camera strip at the back. Featuring a 5.5-inch FullHD 1080 pixels display, the smartphones to carry an Octa-Core processor, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage. Rest of the details
