Before we go ahead a leaked photo showed off canceled Nokia Lumia 650 XL devices, which has a Microsoft logo and was supposed to be a bigger variant of Lumia 650, Nokia 2020 and Lumia 2020, as per the report. Apart that, there’s another good news is that the Symbian OS maker seems to be working on releasing Nokia N1-like Android smartphone, should come with no metal, rather have polycorbonate bodies, and to feature high-end specs including its display, software and processor. Here are the complete details on this story.
According to the latest, two Nokia-branded Android phones are on its way into the market, made by Finland’s HMD Global. The leaks suggest that the 5.2-inch and 5.5-inch phones will sport QHD OLED displays with 2K screen resolution and will come with IP68 certification, which extremely points at a highly resistant to water and dust on the similar manner to the hardware like the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and Galaxy S7.
Both the new Android smartphones from Nokia which allegedly leaked on the internet are expected to be flagship class devices, that show polycorbonate shells on the phones and the design seems to be a bit similar to what we saw on the Nokia N1 tablet last year, albeit, not as large. As mentioned earlier, the smartphones from Nokia will be manufactured by HMD Global, licensed to make Nokia’s phones of the next 10 years.
Specs-wise, the phones are rumored to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 chipset, will come with Nokia Z Launcher System UI, running on Android Nougat. The final version of Android 7.0 is expected in October this year, meaning that Nokia’s smartphones may hit the store shelves after Nexus devices for 2016.
In another report, it was also speculated that the phones to have all-metal body design, but by Nokia Power User suggests both will sport an OLED screen. It also adds that the phones might also pack a fingerprint sensor, and much more. With that said, it also claims that “the sensors on these two smartphones may be most sensitive ever and will be based upon Nokia’s extensive research on wonder material graphene.”
We don’t think Nokia’s two new Android smartphone of 2016 will have the power of SD820, but may run the new Snapdragon 821 SoC. A 22.6MP rear camera is expected on the phones and the pricing will go around 3,000 Yuan (Rs. 30,000 approx.).
