After several alleged prototypes of the Samsung‘s upcoming Galaxy S8 surfaced online in recent weeks, has now leaked in a new video. The next-generation Galaxy S8 is shown in action, obtained by British online retailer Mobile Fun. However, the footage is rather shorter and doesn’t show much, rather a glimpse. The source apparently got their hands on the golden variant of the Galaxy S8, with that said, the short video depicting what’s fair to be Samsung’s new Android flagship can be seen below.
Provided the leaked footage is legitimate, also suggests several things, For starters, the upcoming Galaxy S8 actually won’t ship with any kind of Samsung branding on the front, possibly because its top bezel is already filled with sensors and thus has no room for a logo, while the bottom one is about as thin as the Samsung logo featured on the front of some variant of the Galaxy S7 Edge.
In other words, there’s no quite a space sufficient for Samsung logo on the front of the device. Furthermore, the prototype shown in the video features no Home button or capacitive button on the device, meaning that because there doesn’t seem to be any room for them. Instead, the hardware clearly makes use of on-screen buttons located in a tray on the bottom of the screen just a bit larger than the bottom bezel of the handset.
No way to confirm the legitimacy that this newly leaked video showcased, a smartphone that does look extremely similar to those numerous previous leaks depicting purported prototypes of Galaxy S8. Regardless, more information about that Samsung devices “Galaxy S8” and “Galaxy S8 Plus” is bound to follow soon seeing how the South Korean electronics recently confirmed that it will be unveiling its next-gen Galaxy S smartphones on March 29 at Unpacked special event in New York City.
A golden variant of the upcoming Galaxy S8 apparently leaked online as three images which are said to be of Samsung’s upcoming Android Nougat flagships, appeared on the Chinese social media website Weibo. Both the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8 Plus are currently rumored to hit the market in the second half of April.
Expected to see the two new Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8 Plus on same date, which are said to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 and Samsung’s Exynos 8895 system-on-chip (SoC) in certain territories, as well as 4GB of RAM. The base model of the two will start at 64GB of internal storage and a microSD card support, and IP68 certification denoting that the handset is resistant to both water and dust.
The Samsung’s Galaxy S8 Plus suggests to boast a 6.2-inch QHD+ screen, while the Galaxy S8 will sport a minimal 5.7-inch display, as per latest rumors. The devices are expected to ship with an integrated iris scanner and support for wireless charging.
Finally, Samsung’s upcoming flagship duo is expected to introduce Bixby, the company’s upcoming artificial intelligence (AI) assistant developed by an AI startup Viv labs that the tech giant acquired back in October. Bixby is said to be deeply integrated with all of the stock Galaxy apps and said to boast several unque features like the ability to conduct a visual search to identify an object like a magazine and then purchases it online on command.
The South Korean consumer electronics manufacturer already confirmed that the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8 Plus won’t be unveiled at the Barcelona-based trade show “MWC 2017”.
