Nokia has once again become one of the much talked about smartphone brand across the world ever since HMD Global announced they will launch devices under the Nokia brand name. Although we have witnessed the unveil of Nokia 6, 5 and 3 alongside Nokia 8 and a re-branded Nokia 3110 as well, but the company is highly anticipated to introduce its flagship Android smartphones in the coming months.
In the next couple of weeks, three of HMD’s Nokia-branded smartphones are well expected to make their global debut, fans are a bit excited about those device that haven’t been announced yet. In order to put a competition against major brands like LG, Samsung and HTC, the Finnish company is not present at the top tier, but a move that many consider wise have already announced their flagships for the first half of the year.
HMD, according to the plans is very much likes to rival Samsung Galaxy S8, LG G6, and HTC U Ultra in the main database of the market share. Right now, a new report surfaced, claiming that the Nokia 9 is likely to be announced at the end of July release or early August date, but it might not be available until the end of Q3 or event later.
The same report also suggests Nokia 9 pricing and somewhat alleged specifications and the global launch period. In fact, the prices may be different depending on regions, for instance, the flagship might cost US$699 in the United States, while in Europe will be available for €749 outright. .
Other markets including India, Nokia 9 will be sold at a retail price for Rs. 44,999, which is about $699 in the US, customers will have to pay for the upcoming phone. The rumors also points at Nokia 7, Nokia 8 as well to mention a few.
The Nokia 9 concept is hitting the rumor mills very often, lately but on time the smartphone’s complete specifications were leaked online showing what it might actually arrive with. In order to be in the competition, Nokia 9 vs Galaxy S8 or LG G6 or HTC U Ultra, the designers are also trying their hands at visualizing how this smartphone might look like.

The reason Nokia 9 might not be launched on the market until the end of quarter 3 is due to Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 supply issues. The chipset is based on an Octa-Core SoC, which Samsung used in its recent flagship smartphones, Galaxy S8 and S8+. The recent Nokia 9 concept video allegedly shows what we can expect this one on board.
It has been confirmed that the upcoming Nokia devices may also use the Carl Zeiss optics, that was seen the alleged Nokia 9 leak with the German optics at its rear. The leak also points at the use of a 22MP dual-lens camera module setup at the back of the phone. The selfie camera is said to be of a 12MP one.
However, the Nokia 9 is alleged to be the next new Android Nokia flagship smartphone, as the recent leaks show that might hits the shelves with an OLED display that is rumored to be used by the iPhone 8 (Apple’s 10 Anniversary iPhone). Apart from the presence of a fingerprint scanner, this smartphone is believed to have an iris scanner as well, making it similar to the S8 and S8+.
Besides the internal and outer parts of the Nokia 9, is also believed to arrive with a 5.5-inch QHD display resolution, and may get the power from a 3800mAh battery.
It’s also worth noting that Nokia 9 won’t be the only other smartphone launched by HMD in the next months, as the Finnish company is expected to debut 6 or 7 new devices by the end of 2017.
